Johanna was born in Switzerland in little village of Morges. His grand father was an outstanding bike ridder and did many races around Europe. He even participated twice at the Tour de France in the years 1951 and 1952 with the Shark team. Johanna was lucky to spend some time with his grand father before he died in 2005. HIs grand father always showed him the picture of his performance around different mountains, especially the one at the Tourmalet where he finished first after breaking his chain. Therefore Johanna started cycling at an early age and showed impressive quality by doing it so.. So at the age of 12 she participated to her first race in Switzerland. She entered the swiss national team at the age of 16 and won a lot of prices. At the age of 25, she was diagnosed with a lung cancer and was able to cured it. Since, she decided to open a bicycle shop in Lausanne and transmit what his grand father transmitted to her.
In the shop, you will even be able to find one of his grand father bicycle that he rided when he won the Tourmalet in 1952. A wide range of picture are shown on the wall. However Johanna decided to sell trendy bike instead of race bike as she thaught the population of Lausanne is more interested in trendy and electrical bikes as Lausanne hill’s are killing legs. The shop is now open since 2008 and Johanna and his team offer a wide range of services like consulting, repairing and caring.
As the shop goes on his 10 years of creation she has decide to create an event in Lausanne, the ride a bicycle day where all the funds would be redistributed to a charity assocation in which she is engaged. The shop is also regularly refurnished with new arrival every 6 month. Johanna has also decided to create a little coffee where people can sip a coffee while Johana and her team are repairing your bike.
